Another immigration ordinance in Omaha
Another city is considering a tough immigration ordinance to crack down on illegal immigrants — Omaha, Neb.
The proposed rule would require every renter to obtain an occupancy license through the city, according to the Omaha World-Herald.
The paper says that the proposal is the first in the state that would ban harboring and renting to illegal immigrants and that it has sparked an outcry among advocates for Latinos.
Similar ordinances in other cities have been struck down by courts as unconstitutional because they conflict with federal law. Several cases are still pending.

Crime skyrockets in 1 county, plummets right next door “Guess which government just got tough on illegal immigrants?”
[‘WASHINGTON -One of the wealthiest counties in America reports crime skyrocketing by 22 percent in the first quarter of 2008, while its neighbor saw crime plummet by 19.3 percent in the same time period - coinciding with a get-tough policy on illegal immigration. Prince William County in Northern Virginia, a bedroom community for the nation’s capital, made national news late last year with a crackdown on illegal immigration that supervisors believed was triggering higher crime and lower living standards. Prince William County reported a 19.3 percent decline in crime, with chairman of the Board of County Supervisors Corey Stewart attributing the downturn to the hard line the county has taken toward illegal immigrants. “One quarter doesn’t tell us a lot,” said county police spokeswoman Mary Ann Jennings. “It shows us where they may be some trends developing.”’]

Deny Illegal Aliens sanctuary and access to social programs and they’ll go away.

It may be too late for that. If they can’t get services they will just demand or take everything anyway. We are heading for a civil war with these people. They believe everything we have built and work so long for should be handed to them.

In BorderlineBlog there’s at least 1 misguided pro-Illegal Alien groupie who also rants against our USA defending its own Sovereignty & that’s really terrible idea. Without the ability to control our Immigration our USA would soon become “Balkanized,” divided not by States borders but by tribal boundaries, similar to inner city street gangs protecting their turfs. That would lead directly to anarchy, lawlessness & increased violence.
“Illegal crack dealer arrested five times in San Francisco, feds were never told”
[‘How bad are sanctuary laws? Marco Martinez is a 26-year-old illegal immigrant from El Salvador who has been arrested by San Francisco police five times in the past 18 months for selling crack cocaine. Until last month, he was never turned over to the federal government.
When he was arrested, he was booked, but posted bail so quickly, a background check was never run. This July, Martinez pleaded guilty to charges stemming from his first three arrests in exchange for prosecutors dismissing the fourth case. But within two weeks, Martinez was arrested a fifth time.
A judge ordered him to stay in jail, and the next day the Sheriff’s Department notified U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents that Martinez was in their custody. ICE officials have confirmed that he was in the country illegally and have put a hold on him - before the sheriff can release him again, the feds have 24 hours to take him into custody and to start deportation proceedings.
There’s nothing in San Francisco’s sanctuary ordinance or in the Police Department’s general orders that precludes officers from alerting the feds when they’ve arrested illegal immigrants.
But retired police Captain Tim Hettrich said it was ‘common knowledge’ throughout the department that ‘you were not to do anything with ICE or immigration and illegals whether or not they committed a crime - even to arrest them - because there will be the perception we are harassing illegals.’’] Link - http://bordercontrol.blogspot.com/2008/08/illegal-crack-dealer-arrested-five.html

Just as personal property owners have the right to defend their properties, we have the right to defend our City’s, States & our USA from whatever threats arise. Yes we do have the right but also the obligation to defend our USA against all threats & enemy’s, both foreign & domestic.
We should applaud all public officials who’re making serious efforts to defend the local communities against an invasion by hordes of Illegal Aliens.

Some dimbulb anti-American moonbats denounce national sovereignty as if we all live in one happy world where everyone thinks warm n’ fuzzy thoughts of each other. In the meantime armed Mexican Troops/Thugs invade our USA, again.
This is why we along with City’s, local community’s & State agency’s must stand up & oppose the continual onslaught by foreign agents against private property & our national sovereignty. We must defend what is ours even when our FedGov yields to the demands of corrupt foreign governments & their criminal agents.
“Mexican Troops Cross Border, Hold Border Agent” Quote: [‘Mexican troops crossed the border into Arizona and held a U.S. Border Patrol agent at gunpoint on Sunday, according to a published report.
Agents assigned to the Border Patrol at Ajo, Ariz., said the Mexican soldiers crossed the border into an isolated area southwest of Tucson and pointed rifles at the agent, who has not been identified.
The Mexicans withdrew after other American agents arrived on the scene, The Washington Times reports. It‘s not known why the troops crossed the border, but American law enforcement authorities have said that current and former Mexican soldiers have been hired to protect drug and immigrant smugglers. “Unfortunately, this sort of behavior by Mexican military personnel has been going on for years,” union Local 2544 of the National Border Patrol Council said on its Web site. &“They are never held accountable, and the United States government will undoubtedly brush this off as another case of, ‘Oh well, they didn’t know they were in the United States’ It is fortunate that this incident didn’t end in a very ugly gunfight.” Ricardo Alday, a spokesman at the Mexican Embassy in Washington, told the Times on Tuesday: “Law enforcement operations have led, from time to time, to innocent incursions by both U.S. and Mexican law enforcement personnel and military units into the territory of both nations”… “We always try to solve these incidents in a cooperative fashion, and as acknowledged by the Border Patrol, this was the case in the episode at Ajo.” The General Accounting Office estimates that $23 billion in illegal drugs flow across the border each year. According to The Times, a coalition of border sheriffs has demanded that the American and Mexican governments probe incursions into the U.S. by heavily armed drug escorts dressed in Mexican military uniforms.’]

Support patriotic local agencies that are doing what our FedGov has ceded over to foreign governments & pro-open border globalist interests whose only interests are turning Illegal Aliens into economic slaves benefiting unscrupulous employers.
Our city’s are leading the fight against 21st century slavery so hopefully there will not be a need to fight a second Civil War to preserve our USA.
If we don’t stand up for our God given rights no other nation will, God Bless America while we still can…

The MexGov attempted to assert itself into an issue where it had no legitimate standing. We must defend our National Sovereignty as we would our States Rights & our own personal rights & property. If we refuse to stand up for our City’s, States, USA, foreign powers & globalists will attempt to turn our USA into a pathetic 3rd world ward of the incompetent U.N., where we’ll be slobbering at an international welfare trough.
“Mexican government protests Texas execution”
Quote: [‘MEXICO CITY, Mexico (CNN) — The United States violated international law by putting a Mexican national to death in Texas, the Mexican government said Wednesday.
Protesters for and against Jose Ernesto Medellin’s execution gathered before he was put to death Tuesday night in Huntsville, Texas, for raping and murdering two teens in 1993.
“The government of Mexico sent the U. S. Department of State a diplomatic note of protest for this violation of international law, expressing its concern for the precedent that it may create for the rights of Mexican nationals who may be detained in that country,” the Mexican government said in a written statement.
“The Ministry of Foreign Relations reiterates that the importance of this case fundamentally stems from the respect to the right to consular access and protection provided by consulates of every state to each of its nationals abroad.”
Medellin’s execution was also the first of what promises to be a busy month at the state’s death chamber in Huntsville. Five other men are scheduled to die in the next four weeks by lethal injection, including Honduran native Heliberto Chi Acheituno on Thursday.
Mexico took the case of Medellin and four other Mexican nationals on death row to the International Court of Justice at The Hague. The court ruled in 2004 that the United States had violated the Vienna Conventions of Consular Relations, which requires a country to notify another country when one of its nationals is accused of a serious crime.
Under the Vienna Conventions, arrested suspects are also eligible for legal assistance from their consulates. After the ICJ ruling, President Bush reluctantly ordered Texas to comply with that decision and reopen Medellin’s case. Texas appealed. In March the U.S. Supreme Court ruled the Vienna Conventions were not binding on the United States, which is a signatory to them, because Congress had not passed a law requiring their enforcement.
The president cannot establish binding rules “that pre-empt contrary state law,” Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in the majority opinion. The ICJ ruled again last month that the executions should not be carried out pending a ruling on a request for further interpretation of the 2004 ruling. But Texas, which had set Medellin’s execution date immediately after the Supreme Court ruling, carried out the execution Tuesday night after the Supreme Court denied an appeal for a stay.
In June, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Attorney General Michael Mukasey asked Texas Gov. Rick Perry to delay the execution. “We continue to seek a practical and timely way to carry out our nation’s international legal obligation,” wrote the Cabinet officers, “a goal that the United States needs the assistance of Texas to achieve.”
U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon also asked Texas officials this week to delay the capital punishment. , condemned the execution.
“With this action, our nation has broken a commitment willingly made by our president and our Senate,” the lawyers said in a written statement. “We must now hope that other nations stand stronger in their promises than we do, lest our own citizens be placed at risk elsewhere.” Journalists who witnessed the execution said Medellin apologized to his victims’ families before he received the lethal cocktail. Medellin was 18 when he participated in the June 1993 gang rape and murder of two Harris County girls, Jennifer Ertman, 14, and Elizabeth Pena, 16.’]

Quote: [‘His death ended 15 years of legal disputes on a sour note.’]
Justice being served isn’t a sour note, it’s justice. The brutal gang rape & murder of two innocent young girls was a vicious crime that Jose perpetrated & he paid the price for his criminality.
His displaying souvenirs from his crime & bragging about his brutal acts was a sour note…
Quote: [‘Medellin’s lawyers argued that Mexican consular officials were not able to meet with the man until after his conviction’]
It wasn’t until after his conviction Jose let police know he was an Illegal Alien. Up until then everyone was sure he was an American Citizen. He was given the same rights in court that all American Citizens are granted.
He was a vicious brutal rapist & murderer and received what he had coming to him according to our justice system. God Bless America, while we still can.
