On a recent trip to Shreveport, I was sitting in the car waiting for my husband to return from a fastfood restaurant with our sandwiches. A car parked beside ours and a young mother jumped the car while talking loudly on a cell phone. She unstrapped a small child from a car seat while still raging on the cell phone. Full Story

GOODRICH: Another family reunion has come and gone
Another Goodrich family reunion has come and gone. Each year, I am asked by readers if I have already attended the reunion, which is traditionally sometime during the summer, and if I am going to write about it. I can’t really imagine my family reunion being all that interesting to others. Perhaps people are just looking for someplace new and interesting to visit, and perhaps they get ideas from our family’s adventures. Full Story

Review: The Leadership Genius of Jesus
The other day I ran across Bill Beausay’s little pocket devotional, “The Leadership Genius of Jesus.” It was in a bottom of a box in the bottom of a closet. What I found when I opened it up was some pretty sage advice about leadership. I know what you are thinking, “Oh great, another motivational book on leadership.” I know what you mean. Store bookshelves are loaded with them. Full Story
