Mother of man charged with having sex with teenage girl says he is innocent

The mother of a 26-year-old Hudson man accused of having consensual sex with a 15-year-old girl says her son is innocent.

“He didn’t touch that girl,” Mary Ruth Parish said in an interview Thursday.

Parish’s son, Corey, has been charged with sexual assault, a second-degree felony offense, for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a girl he impregnated, according to an arrest affidavit. Full Story

I guess if she is pregnant the DNA of the baby will prove if he “touched” her. Time will tell. Sorry to hear another 15 year old is pregnant.

15,is young, and that sucks she is pregnant, but she knew what she was doing. She obviously has enough sense to accuse him of a crime…this girl is a drain on society, costing court time, attorneys, prolly can’t oxford to have the kid, will be on welfare, food stamps…keep your legs closed and this won’t happen!!

I don’t think it is the 15 yr. old girls fault. He is a grown man ,he should have known better. She is a little girl and grown man that would do that to a girl should be sent to prison and have to register as a sex affender. What keeps him from messing with 10yr. old or a 5 yr. old.The punishment for messing with a child should be like you murdred someone.A child is taught to trust adults , when they violate that trust what does it teach the child.

I agree she was under age, but she was probably having sex way before this guy came along. Socially kids are having sex younger, if she was 18 and he was 28 would it be such a big deal? No, the law is too harsh, the law assumes that kids that young don’t have sex?! If she’s already sexually active, then how is it his fault? If the paternity test results clear his name, what happens to her? Nothing that’s what!! I would sue her for slander and defamation if I were him!. I don’t condone sex with a younger girl, if he did it, then he broke the law! If he gets labled as a sex offender, loses miltary benifits, has to pay child support, and goes to jail he is getting the raw end of the deal. It takes away all responsibilty from the girl, again she knew what she was doing.

On a personal level, I do not believe that this young girl is being honest. It may be true that she had sexual relations while living under the same roof as the Parishes, but that does not prove the young Mr. Parish is guilty. Though we do not have all the details of the case, and we may not know some piece of crucial evidence exists, we can surmise a few things from this story alone. 1) The Young girl waited, wither for fear, shame or guilt, she waited. But we cannot be the judge of WHY, and therefore, we cannot base anythign on this fact. 2) It was not the Young Girl, but her Mother, who alerted the authorities to the situation, and after her daughter had been housed under the Parish roof for a time when they knew Mrs. Parishs’ son was home. That in itself is suspucious, but still proves nothing, only that there must have been some special cricumstance for that young girl to be in the Parish home as opposed to her home. Even now, she is the custody of CPS, not her biological mother. 3) Another comment posted was intresting - if a DNA test proves either way, he did or did not commit this act, the girl will be living off the system because he will be in Jail OR will have been proven innocent. And what about that, where did the “innocent until proven guilty” clause go in our justice system. So, there must be something they are looking at that is yet to be revealed to the public. One cannot always trust that a report will be accurate or even complete, because certain things may be omitted for reasons of security or privacy.

Yes, you would think innocent until “proven” guilty. Not in today’s society. It is a tragedy anyway you look at it. A 15 y/o pregnant with no family support and a young man accused possibly of something he didn’t do.

My question is this how can a kid lets say 10 be convicted of murder because he knew what he was doing. And yet 15 year old girl isn’t able to deside????????????????

What confuses me is the fact that this girls mother is the one filing charges. This young girl has lived with other people, is now in foster care, where was this mother when the daughter needed her?? This all sounds very strange to me.

IF her mother was so concerned she should have been more involved with her daughter instead of letting her run the roads. But now she has a 15 year old who consented to sex with an adult (who should have known better BUT some little girls look way older than they are, whats he gonna do check ID?)and is now pregnant. Sad that the girl will be raising a baby with the governments help but its a domino effect. Be a good parents so your kids dont end up parents.

I AGREE THAT 15 IS YOUNG TO BE HAVIN SEX, LIKE SOME OF THE OTHER PEOPLE HAVE SAID, WE DO NOT KNOW THE WHOLE STORY. SHE COULD HAVE GOTTEN PREGNANT BY SOMEONE ELSE. WHO SAYS HE DONE IT? SHE COULD HAVE GOTTEN MAD AT HIM BECAUSE HE WOULDN’T DO ANYTHING AND ACCUSED HIM OF IT. I DO THINK IT IS WRONG FOR HIM TO BE SITTIN IN JAIL. THEY CAN DO A DNA ON THE BABY NOW TO SEE IF IT IS HIS BEFORE HIS NAME GETS RUINED. THE LONGER HE SITS IN JAIL BECAUSE OF THIS, THE QUICKER HIS NAME GETS RUINED AND IT WILL STICK WITH HIM FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE. THINGS ARE NOT LIKE THEY USED TO BE, YOU HONESTLY JUST CAN’T HELP ANYMORE WITHOUT BEIN STABBED IN THE BACK AND IT FALLIN BACK ON YOU. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THIS WORLD? I FELL SORRY FOR MR PARISH AND HIS MOM. HIS MOM HELPED HER OUT AND THIS IS WHAT THE GIRL DOES TO THEIR FAMILY. MR PARISH SERVED FOR OUR COUNTRY AND NOW LOOK HOW HE DUTIES ARE APPERCIATED. BY THE WAY, WHY WASN’T THIS 15 YEAR OLD GIRL LIVIN WITH HER MOM? WHY IS HER MOM NOW TRYIN TO IN A WAY DO THE RIGHT THING? SHE STILL DOESN’T HAVE HER DAUGHTER, SHE IS NOW IN THE STATES CUSTODY. DO A DNA ON THE BABY AND GET IT OVER WITH. THIS WORLD IS STEADLY GOIN DOWN THE DRAIN!!!

The girl is not the one who accused Mr Parish, it was the mother who no longer has custody and is a drug addict. I think the mother made the charges tring to regain custody.
