A Nacogdoches man is facing a second-degree felony charge for allegedly lying to deputies about being a Texas Ranger.

The incident marks the second time that Ford Truitt Cummings, 39, has been arrested and charged with impersonating a public servant.

Law enforcement officials could find no record of him being a peace officer, according to the affidavit.

Read more about the arrest, including a 2012 charge against Cummings for the same offense, in Friday's Daily Sentinel or online.
