Grant pays for new AC units at jail

Thanks to the efforts of County Projects Manager Tara Thomas, Nacogdoches County taxpayers will not have to foot the bill for new cooling units at the county jail.

          And if the county would wise up, purchase and install a solar water heating system they could save the taxpayers many thousands again on hot water heating costs. Bexar County did that years ago. Solar water heating systems continue to save money for over a decade also. It is a sustainable product and system for any building or structure. Just don't put the collectors in the shade.
