A Nacogdoches man was indicted and arrested this week on multiple felony charges alleging sexual misconduct with a minor.
Francisco Javier Garcia, 26, was jailed Friday on a $250,000 bond set in the 145th District Court for fourteen charges of indecency with a child and a single counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child, according to the grand jury indictment filed against him.
The indictment alleges the abuse occurred over a four year span from Oct. 2015 through Jan. 20, 2019, beginning when Garcia was under 17 years old and the victim, referred to by the pseudonym Sam Smith was under the age of 14.
The indictment claims Garcia touched the victim's genitals and breasts and caused the victim to touch his genitals.
Each of the indecency charges is a third-degree felony punishable by between two and 20 years incarceration. The continuous sexual abuse charge is a first-degree felony with a punishment range of between five and 99 years incarceration. All charges carry a potential fine of up to $10,000, according to the Texas Penal Code.
