Assault, 310 block of Mound Street. A person struck someone in the face during an argument over a text message.

Hit and run, 200 block of South Street.

———

Theft, 810 block of Summit Street. An orange bicycle and a green bicycle were taken from a woman's yard.

———

Burglary of a habitation, 800 block of Lane Drive. A television and a microwave were removed from a home.

———

Disorderly conduct, 1500 block of North Street. Two people tried to push their way past security into a club.

———

Possession of a controlled substance, public intoxication, 5100 block of North Street. While investigating a noise complaint, an officer saw someone stagger out of a vehicle. The person was found to be intoxicated and in possession of Vicodin.

———

Failure to identify, possession of stolen property, 400 block of Northgate Drive. A woman was found to be in possession of another person's camera and cell phone.

———

Criminal mischief, 220 block of Newman Street, Appleby. The back window of a camper was shot out from a pickup truck.

———

Unauthorized use of a vehicle, CR 6103. A woman said she came home to find her car missing.

———

Criminal mischief, 3000 block of Woden Road. A woman's car was written on wit lipstick.

———

Arrests included: Mauro Barrera, 18, Lufkin, driving while intoxicated, no drivers licence; Shelton Ray Cox, 59, 2625 Hunter St., driving while intoxicated; Shan Devill Tutt, 26, 2330 North St., public intoxication, child support; Lisa Michelle Weeks, 29, Pollock, public intoxication; Mark Allan Williams, 53, 3601 Colonial Dr., public intoxication.

Jail Population

On Sunday morning, 196 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.
