A Nacogdoches County grand jury has indicted a California man on two felony sex offenses.
Donaldo Alfredo Santos, 58, of Azusa, California, was arrested and booked into the county jail Wednesday morning on a first-degree felony for aggravated sexual assault of a child and a second degree felony for indecency with a child by sexual contact, according to jail records.
He was indicted by a grand jury from the 145th District Court.
Santos is accused of assaulting a child under the age of 14 and “touching the breast” of a child under the age of 17, according to the indictment filed against him.
The offenses happened on or around Sept. 20, 2018, according to the indictment.
Court and public records do not indicate Santos has any prior arrests or outstanding cases in Texas.
If convicted, Santos could be sentenced to between five and 99 years incarceration on the first-degree felony and between two and 20 years incarceration on the second-degree felony, according to the Texas Penal Code. Both charges also carry potential fines up to $10,000 each.
Santos remained in jail Wednesday afternoon in lieu of $100,000 bail.
