Aggravated assault, 400 block of CR 823. Deputies were called to a report of a juvenile threatening his father with a gun. When they arrived, they were told the teen had walked into the woods. “Deputies searched the property and located the juvenile in the cab of a tractor.” He was detained and taken to the Law Enforcement Center for processing.

Aggravated assault, 1009 Oak Hill Plaza Dr. Officers were sent to a report of an assault at an apartment complex involving a person with a gun.

Assault, 200 block of SE Stallings Drive. Police responded Monday to a church where a victim wanted to report an assault by a family member that occurred July 28.

Family violence, 1500 block of Shelton Dr. A caller reported her child had been disciplined by a family member the previous day, causing injury.

Assist complainant, 1100 block of CR 522. A caller told deputies “he wanted it documented that his roommate is moving out and has threatened him with filing false assault charges on him.”

Controlled substance, 2200 block of Pearl St. Police investigating an assault and theft contacted a suspect, recovered stolen property and discovered a controlled substance.

Assault, 600 block of FM 2664. A woman reported “her soon to be ex-husband pushed her daughter into a wall.”

Criminal mischief, 3000 block of EJ Campbell Blvd. Tires of multiple vehicles parked at an apartment complex were damaged during the night.

Criminal mischief, 3200 block of Logan Circle. Residents of another residential complex also reported their tires were damaged overnight.

Disturbance, 3000 block of FM 2259. Deputies separated a couple after being called to a disturbance. Neither party wanted to press charges against the other.

Sexual assault. Police are investigating a report of sexual assault in which “a male subject forced himself upon a female without her consent.”

Burglary of vehicle, 3900 block of Maid Marian Lane. Unknown suspects entered a vehicle and took property.

Burglary of vehicle, 3800 block of Maid Marian Lane. Property was stolen form a vehicle.

Burglary of vehicle, 4000 block of Red Oak Drive. Burglars entered a vehicle “with intentions of taking property without the owner’s consent.”

Unauthorized use of vehicle, 1800 block of York Drive. A vehicle was taken from a home during the night.

Theft of firearm, 1800 block of York Drive. An officer was approached by a victim claiming his car was broken into and property was removed while the vehicle was parked at his home.

Unauthorized use of vehicle, 1000 block of North St. A local car dealership reported one of the vehicles was taken off the lot without permission.

Found property, 100 block of Seale St.. Police responding to a disturbance call discovered illegal narcotics inside an apartment.

Assault, 4500 block of University Drive. Residents of an apartment reported that their roommate assaulted them. “The other party was unable to be contacted.”

Assault, 3000 EJ Campbell Blvd. Responding to a report of gunfire, police discovered a man had been assaulted, “but the gunshot was not involved with the incident and no one had been injured by it.”

Traffic offense, 100 N. University Drive. A driver stopped for a traffic violation was found to have a suspended license and a previous conviction for driving with an invalid license. He was arrested.

Criminal trespass, Highway 21. A customer was issued a criminal trespass warning from a Chireno store after exhibiting disorderly conduct.

Reckless driver, 9000 block of FM 2609. A driver called to report “she believed she was being followed. The complainant called back and advised the vehicle turned off and deputies could disregard.”

Extra patrol, 1500 block of CR 747. A caller reported “he was concerned about someone coming to his residence and tearing up his property. Deputies patrolled the area.”

Intoxicated person, 100 CR 525. Deputies stopped a driver who was determined to be intoxicated “to a point where he was a danger to himself and others.”

Extra patrol, 300 block of CR 471. Deputies went on extra patrol after a caller reported “he could hear ‘thieves’ in the area.” No suspicious activity was found.

Theft, 1400 block of CR 4921. A rifle was taken from a home without permission.

Alcohol offense, 1900 block of CR 555. Deputies responded to a party where a caller reported juveniles drinking alcohol. Deputies arrived and contacted all subjects: “The juveniles were not intoxicated and were under the care of a sober adult.”

Evading arrest, U.S. 59 South. A deputy attempting a traffic stop at the intersection of Hwy. 7 and FM 2782 reported “the vehicle accelerated in speed” and that he lost contact. “Deputies were able to locate the vehicle and receive a verbal statement from the homeowner. This case will be forwarded to (Criminal Investigation Division) for further review.”

Traffic assist, Chireno Loop and FM 95. Deputies assisted in traffic control after an 18-wheeler ran out of gas in the middle of the road.

Arrests included: Cotina Gilyard, 46, possession of controlled substance; Elmer Ernesto Magana, 29, aggravated assault family violence; Vincent Rodriguez, 56, public intoxication; Anthony Strickland, 17, release of surety; Marcos Cruz Acosta, 33, public intoxication; Jamesica Unterica Samone Barnes, 23, theft; Christian Martin Blacksmith, 41, unauthorized use of vehicle, failure to identify, possession of marijuana; Bridgette Nichole Blanton, 30, theft; Erik Palafox, 39, driving while license suspended; Brenda Rodriguez Perez, 41, of San Augustine, warrant; and Odis Ray Sparks, 59, failure to maintain financial responsibility, no drivers license.

JAIL POPULATION

At 10 a.m. Monday, the Nacogdoches County Jail housed 253 inmates. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the maximum population is 292.
