Warrant service, 100 block of W Main St. Deputies arrested a woman “attending court proceedings” when they discovered she had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

Controlled substance, 2900 block of Banita St. Officers stopped a person for a criminal trespass complaint who had multiple outstanding warrants and was in possession of a controlled substance. The person was arrested.

Credit card abuse, 300 block of W Main St. Fraudulent purchases were made with a debit card.

Theft by check, 2000 block of South St. A person contacted police to file charges after “he cashed several checks from a local hotel, and the checks bounced.”

Fraud, 200 block of South St. Officers took a report about someone altering a document after “attempting to have it notarized.”

Theft, 2800 block of Santa Fe Rd. A tenant evicted from an apartment stole items from inside.

Tampering with/fabricating evidence, 2000 block of Woden Rd. Officers were dispatched to check on the welfare of a woman walking along the road who was almost hit by a car. The woman ran from them, resisted arrest and “destroyed evidence.”

Burglary of a motor vehicle, 4100 block of North St. Someone broke into a person’s vehicle and stole property.

Agency assist, US 59 and US 259. Deputies assisted at the scene of an accident in which gas was spilled on the road.

Fire assist, 400 block of CR 532. Deputies assisted fire fighters at the scene of a fire “that burned an unoccupied single-wide trailer.” The fire seems to have been started by a brush pile.

Arrests included: Jonas Alvarez Sr., 23, failure to identify, bail jumping and failure to appear and evading arrest; Todd Richard-Smith Bentley, 26, possession of a controlled substance and two warrants; Cleathon Ramon Fields, 44, driving while intoxicated — 3rd or more and failure to appear on a misdemeanor; Mashad Deonta Hall, 23, of Garrison, tampering with a government record; Keira Simone Neal, 19, bail jumping and failure to appear and failure to appear on a misdemeanor; Thomas Jion Norbert, 23, motion to revoke probation and release of surety; Jonathon Miguel Obregon Gonzalez, 22, of Lufkin, failure to appear on a misdemeanor and bail jumping and failure to appear; Victor Allen Parker Jr., 30, theft of property; Jacqulin Lorette Sterns, 48, motion to revoke probation; Ruby Jewel Young, 37, evading arrest, resisting arrest and tampering with physical evidence.

As of 11 a.m. Wednesday, there were 261 inmates at the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the maximum population is 292.
