Fire assist, 19000 block of US 59 N. An oil well site struck by lightning caught fire, causing more than $25,000 in damage. Volunteer firefighters from several departments extinguished the blaze.

Burglary of a motor vehicle, 1000 block of Wells st. Property was stolen from two vehicles.

Burglary of a motor vehicle, 2000 block of Pearl Street. Someone stole property from a vehicle.

Burglary of a vehicle, 1200 block of Spring Valley Dr. Several vehicles were broke into, and property was stolen.

Burglary of a motor vehicle, 2000 block of S Fredonia St. Someone broke into and stole property from a vehicle.

Criminal mischief, 2100 block of Pearl St. A person reported damaged done to their vehicle multiple times over the past two months.

Traffic offense, 100 block of Lananna St. A driver who didn’t stop for police was arrested.

Criminal trespass, 1000 block of Randall St. Someone entered vehicles without permission.

Theft, 1300 block of Spring Valley Dr. A gun was stolen from a vehicle.

Controlled substance, 300 block of Rusk St. Officers arrested a person in possession of drugs and paraphernalia.

Intoxicated driver, 600 block of South St. The driver of a vehicle that stalled in the road was arrested for being intoxicated.

Criminal trespass, 5300 block of Northway Dr. “A deputy was dispatched to (the) ... jail to issue criminal trespass warnings to several subjects who were currently in jail.” Three people were warned.

Harassment, 100 block of Ponderosa St. A person asked for a criminal trespass warning to be issued to another individual. Deputies spoke to both people involved.

Forgery, 4300 block of CR 411. A check stolen from a person’s mailbox was cashed in another state.

Death investigation, 1400 block of CR 522. A report was taken about a person found deceased.

Disorderly conduct, 5100 block of FM 2864. A warning was issued to a person who “was yelling in the street.”

Criminal trespass, 11000 block of US 59 N. Deputies arrested a person on warrants while investigating a report of trespassing.

Indecent exposure, 200 block of CR 221. Charges were filed against a man accused of sending inappropriate pictures to a child.

Controlled substance, 1400 block of FM 2609. Drugs and a stolen gun were found during a traffic stop. One person was arrested.

Arrests included: Michael Shannon Bleike, 43, of Magnolia, two counts of failure to appear and bail jumping and failure to appear; Arthur James Clark, 53, driving while intoxicated; Timothy Joseph Knowlton, 38, assault; Gustavo Dominic Lilly, 21, of Longview, bail jumping and failure to appear; Samantha Juanita McBride, 20, possession of a controlled substance, open container, possession of drug paraphernalia and bail jumping and failure to appear; Atirra Renee Resino, 23, of Oakland, California, public intoxication; Carolyn Jean Sessions, 55, fleeing a police officer.

SFA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft, Kerr Hall. A bicycle was stolen sometime between Aug. 20 and Aug. 21.

JAIL POPULATION

As of 3 p.m. Thursday, there were 276 inmates at the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the maximum population is 292.
