Billie Jean Sears Barnhart

Billie Jean (Weatherly) Sears Barnhart of Nacogdoches passed away peacefully on August 8, 2019. Billie was born on February 7, 1925 in Tyler, Texas, to Samuel Jackson Weatherly and Climmie Mae Tarver Weatherly.

She is preceded in death by her parents; father of her children, Gordon Sears; husband, O.C. Barnhart; siblings,  Preston Weatherly, Hugh Weatherly, Catherine Pickens, Alama Lita Foley, Ruth Weatherly, Hubert Weatherly, Jack Weatherly, Bobby Weatherly and Jewel Pirtle; son, Gordon Allen Sears; step-son, Clyde Barnhart; step-daughter, Peggy Barnhart; 2 grandsons, Larry Allen Sears and Brian Sears.

Survivors include: son, Larry Sears (Valerie); daughters, Glinda Brogoitti (Andre), Pam Sears Taylor (Roger); step-son, Rodney Barnhart; step-daughters, Margaret Kinney and Louise Wallace; sisters, Margaret Spivey and Betty Young; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2019, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel.  The family will receive friends, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Appleby.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her care givers, Doris Woodson and Carol McEntire, along with the other residents of Pine Lake Estates who watched out for her.
