Charlotte Ann Burrows

Charlotte Ann Burrows passed away June 15th after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She will be greatly missed by friends and family.

Charlotte was born May 17, 1936 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Mina Singleton Burrows and Jack Burrows. She is survived by her brother, Robert V. Burrows, sister-in-law Martha, niece, Kathryn McClellan, nephew, Jeffrey Burrows, great niece, Leah Welty and family.

Charlotte graduated from Nacogdoches High School in 1953. After graduating from the University of Texas in 1957, she worked in Houston for a couple of years. She then moved to Shreveport and worked for the Shreveport Times. She loved the newspaper business and was very successful, retiring after many years as Assistant Managing Editor.

Visitation with the family will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Aug. 10, 2019, at First Methodist Church. Graveside service to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
