I recently completed my term as a board member of the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and opted not to reapply. It is time for new blood. It was a valuable and enjoyable experience. If someone is wanting to serve the local community by board service, I highly recommend applying for this board.

While much of the emphasis is on long term strategy and planning, there are many things this organization does that can have excellent short-term results to interject economic stimulus into our community.

The board members are selfless in their service and are dedicated to the betterment of our area. The CVB has an outstanding staff that is focused on positive results that affect our community. It was an honor to serve on this board. All the best in the future.
