There is lots more wrong with socialists and with liberals who accept their beliefs than could be covered in a letter which must comply with length limits. They start with a noble-sounding slogan: “From each according to his ability; to each according to his needs.”
The slogan shows an unawareness of human nature by assuming that people will work productively when there is no incentive to do so. Humans simply don’t act that way and never will. That is why no purely socialist country has ever been a success.
Democrats in America, though, have made it a practice to buy votes by promising benefits from the treasury to prospective voters who neither earn nor deserve such benefits. The current two dozen hopefuls are just more of the same.
