I am very glad that the kids are geting to play in there own home town,it is however very imbarresing that the Nacogdoches Baseball assn. has to do underhanded things to get all the favorates on one team, what about the other team that had 2 eleven year old players they were told by the board president Jason Mathews that they had to play up. it has now come to light that dixie had infact sent a email to mr. mathews and he as usuall did nothing these other kids were cheated because they could have played in an all 11 age group. when will the people of nacogdoches open there eyes and see that what we have is the good buddy system. how can you appoint a board president and not allow the members to vote. the board is appointed by the commisioners and then the commissioners are appointed by the board. that is some kind of backwards politics, if we pay to play dont we become a member and should have the right to a vote. this is not right and not fair to the kids. just because some or most of the board dads could not play they now try to live through there kids. where is the justice............ i want to say that i support the kids of nacogdoches baseball but there must be some major change to the board or the old buddy system will ruin the program in nacogdoches just look at the high school team you can already see it .............
somebody must stand up to the board and Jason Mathews..he is not the only one that can make a decision.....

There are actually two Nacogdoches teams playing in the State Tournament in Nacogdoches this week-end. The Nacogdoches Nationals did not get a pass into the State Tournament but had to win district in order to advance. The team was undefeated in the district tournament and earned their way to State. They will play at 11:00 on Saturday morning. Coaches for the Nacogdoches Nationals are Tutts Stoddard, Daniel Reed, and Roger Anderson.
