The Deep East Texas USBC has awarded jackets to three bowlers for outstanding performances recently.

Brandon Williams was awarded a jacket for an 821 series, Stephanie Schwartz received hers for a 752 series at Texas Pro Bowl in Nacogdoches and Bob Guggia posted a perfect 300 at Triple J Lanes in Livingston during the 2018-19 league season.

There are 458 bowlers from 10 counties that compete at the bowling centers in Nacogdoches and Livingston. They bowl three games per league night for 34-36 weeks per season, not counting practice sessions.

“Even though you are a part of a team with a team goal, most bowlers find they are competing against themselves to reach higher scores,” said Charlotte Brokmeyer, president of the Deep East Texas USBC. “Brandon, Stephanie and Bob’s accomplishments are extraordinary and a great achievement for any bowler.

“The sport of bowling is for any age and any skill level.”
